Here's a preview of the comic book;

I started this comic project quite some time ago but abandoned it. I resurrected the project because using it as a going-out bang was a good excuse to finish it. This also means however, that some of the art at the beginning is inconsistent with the art near the end, since my skill improved from when I started the comic.
Also, and I think this is actually pretty appropriate, this is a pretty old school Geek Central story. We got the original cast and some of the original running gags. I think long-time fans will really like it and anyone who thinks Geek Central hasn't been as funny recently.
Here's a link to it in PDF format (right-click and save it to download, otherwise you'll be viewing it in your browser, obviously):
Issue Zero.pdf
If you're into reading a lot of comics on your computer, I also have it here in .CBR format:
Issue Zero.cbr
Here's the complete archive of every Geek Central comic ever, including today's comic (WARNING - 35 meg download):
Geek Central Archive.rar
Oh. And as a super special bonus, I'll shed some light on one of Geek Central's most heavily guarded secrets.
Here is a photograph of Tanooki.

You can reach me at darrynst(at)gmail.com after Geek Central goes down on the 2nd, until then darryn@geek-central.org will still work. Feel free to email me about anything, any questions, comments or requests.
This page will remain up until the 2nd, but I encourage you to grab what you want soon in case bandwidth becomes a problem with all the large files, or in case you forget. Please make sure anyone else you know who comes to Geek Central is aware there's a free comicbook and that they can get every strip (plus 2 bonus ones) in a .rar file.
Any updates I'll post in red below in case anything happens or if I decide to set up a small blog somewhere else. You can always follow my artwork at zvesda.deviantart.com which may see more updates now that I won't be making a comic every week.
That's it kids, you've all been so goddamn great over these years and I can't thank you enough.
Last one out, please turn off the lights.

A little late on the Post. My apologies.
I think this is kind of like 2 TF2 comics in a row.
So after seeing Star Trek in the theatres (twice) Amanda encouraged me to get the Original Series for us to watch.
I got the new Hi-Def, Remastered series complete with all new special effects and new footage of the ship.
It's amazing how fresh the entire thing feels with those changes.
Seeing as film is nigh infinitely scalable, it's nice that we can actually get higher quality episodes than what originally aired, of course anywhere the show used stock footage it cannot be scaled and you can really notice it. I also notice that you can clearly see the makeup they put on the actors so their features would be easier to see on the low quality of the original broadcast.
The new shots of the Enterprise are great too. It still looks like the old Enterprise, just smoother and better.
Of course nothing can be done to fix the sets or the low-quality alien makeup, but I did notice the Gorn blinked now, which was pretty neat.
Star Trek 2009 was what got Amanda and I back into the original series, but it really is a treat to watch it again. It may be the new effects added to it, but it still feels like good sci-fi, and is still fun to watch.
I don't know if you'd think the new CG would ruin the charm of the old show, but I'd seriously recommend picking this up if you can find it.
I wish they would have added the low background hum of the engines while aboard the Enterprise though, that sound became synonymous with Star Trek for me beginning with TNG.

Slightly late on the post, but I was out of town. I still ensured the comic was as timely as always.
I suppose one of the reasons I didn't prepare a post in advance is lack of anything to talk about though.
Well, anything relevant to talk about.
I visited family all week, but why would you want to hear about that?
The trailer for Modern Warfare 2 is now out.
If you see anyone calling it modern combat, be sure to murder them.
I've seen that Boom Blox Bash Barty (that was intentional) is out now, but I'm yet to grab it. The first Boom Blox was a lot of fun, and this one brings more multiplayer modes as well as LittleBigPlanet-style user-made download levels.
Geez, what else?
Oh, I saw a moose.
That's pretty cool.
